Am I locked into a long-term contract?
Never. We offer simple monthly or annual billing. You can cancel your monthly plan at any time. Annual plans are paid upfront in exchange for a discounted rate, but there are no multi-year lock-ins or hidden cancellation penalties. We believe in keeping clients because our service is great, not because a complicated contract says you have to stay.
What happens if my site goes viral and traffic spikes?
We love to see our clients succeed! How we handle sudden growth depends on the type of resources your site is using:
Storage Spikes: If you suddenly need more disk space (like a massive influx of user uploads), we automatically provision extra storage for just $5/GB so your site never misses a beat. No surprise shut-offs.
Traffic Spikes (RAM/Memory): If a viral post brings a massive wave of simultaneous visitors, it tests your site’s active processing power (RAM). To protect the stability of the entire server and your neighbors, our system must temporarily throttle the flow of traffic to your site to keep the infrastructure stable. We will never hit you with surprise fees for traffic limits.
If your high traffic sustains, we’ll reach out to discuss moving you to a higher performance tier. And true to our ‘No Drama‘ policy, we won’t force you into a permanent upgrade for a temporary viral moment – if your traffic normalizes, you can drop right back down to your original shared tier the following billing cycle.
Do you host email?
We focus 100% on high-performance infrastructure. For email, keep it separate from your web server for better deliverability and security – a new standard that will be commonplace within the next five years, we’re betting! We recommend professional email services and transactional email services here.
* Pricing excludes applicable taxes. The locked rate applies to the full duration of the current prepaid term. Renewals are subject to standard rates effective at the time of renewal. To prioritize uptime, storage usage exceeding plan limits is automatically provisioned and billed at $5/GB per cycle.
* Unlimited Sites: We monitor resources, not domain names. Whether you run one massive news archive or 20 simple one-page portfolios, you are free to host as many sites as you like provided they fit within the storage and performance capacity of your plan.
** Country Allow/Block: This premium security feature allows you to filter traffic by region. It is available by request so we can configure it safely for you. Blocking traffic from countries where you don’t do business is a great way to reduce spam and protect your site from localized threats.
